The 2006 Republic Of Texas Biker Rally arrives in Austin, Texas from June 1 - 4 for the 11th consecutive year. This year again, we'll party in style in plain view of the capitol and 6th Street. Congress Avenue will literally be shut down for biker parking only. This year the Rally Committee is pleased to present a FREE concert on two big stages featuring bands that will surely be a highlight of the 2006 ROT Biker Rally.

Street closure in 2006 has been expanded at the request of Austin Police and Fire Department. The biker party has grown and we must close down a part of downtown Austin for the ROT Rally. According to the APD the closure will extend from the capitol down past the lake where a second stage will be located.

Yes, there will be parking on the bridge and a band stand. This entire area will be for the exclusive use of ROT Rally parade participants and other bikers. The closure will include 6th street from I-35 to Congress as well.

The total closure will come to 52 city blocks. Wow this must be one of the largest street closures in Austin's history! This type of street closure on Congress Avenue is quite rare and is authorized only for truly major events in the capital city. So Saddle Up for the Big One, and be there to help us make motorcycle history in Texas once again.
