Covering northcentral Montana on a Harley

Writers from three national motorcycling magazines are touring northcentral Montana this weekend as part of the Ridin' High, Flyn' Low media trip organized by Gayle Fisher of the Russell Country tourism region.

Andrew Cherney from Motorcycle Escape; Sam Whitehead from American Iron Magazine and Scott Dalgleish from American Rider are riding, reporting and learning about Montana.

Zane Paulson, local Harley Davidson enthusiast and owner of the Great Falls Holiday Inn, is leader of this pack and Donnie Sexton, a photographer from Travel Montana, is packing the camera gear. Riding shotgun with Paulson is Fisher.

The gang is riding Harley Davidsons from the Eagle Rider franchise in Fort Benton, where the tour left Friday morning. Fort Benton, White Sulphur Springs, Great Falls, Choteau and points in between all were on the itinerary. They also planned to fly over the Bob Marshall Wilderness this morning.

Whitehead says people can expect to read his impressions of the tour in the May or June 2007 American Iron Magazine.
